How Targon handles information during recruitment.

When this notice applies

This notice applies when you apply for an approved Targon role or take part in a Targon recruitment process. Targon accepts applications only through the path shown on a current role page.

Information we collect

We may collect your name, contact details, location, work history, education, resume, portfolio, LinkedIn profile, availability, compensation expectations, role-specific answers, interview notes, assessment results, references, source, and recruitment outcome.

Please do not submit national identity numbers, passport copies, bank details, medical information, or other highly sensitive information at the initial application stage unless Targon specifically requests it for a lawful reason later in the process.

How we use it

We use applicant information to assess suitability, communicate about the role, arrange and record hiring stages, make hiring decisions, protect the integrity of the process, and meet legal obligations. Where applicable, the legal bases are steps requested before a contract, legitimate recruitment interests, consent for optional future-role contact, and legal obligations.

Automated decisions and protected characteristics

Targon does not automatically reject or score applicants using age, nationality, gender, photographs, medical information, or other protected characteristics. Hiring decisions require human review.

Storage, access, and sharing

Application records may be stored in private Google Workspace files, including Google Drive and Google Sheets. Access is limited to relevant hiring personnel and service providers supporting the hiring process. Information may be shared with professional advisers or authorities where legally required.

Retention

The applicable hiring notice may state a shorter period. Otherwise, unsuccessful applications are normally retained for no more than 12 months after the role closes so we can manage follow-up, review the process, and respond to legal questions. We retain information longer only with a valid reason, such as your consent for future roles or a legal requirement. Hired-candidate information moves into the relevant personnel record.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent for future-role contact at any time. We may verify your identity before completing a request.
