Product Research Specialist

Find, evaluate, and validate private-label product opportunities using market data, customer evidence, and commercial judgment.

Role purpose

Turn product ideas into clear go or no-go recommendations for Targon’s owned brands and selected operating projects.

Produce decision-ready product evaluations with clear evidence and assumptions.
Identify demand, competition, pricing, unit economics, and material product risks.
Make direct recommendations and explain what would change the decision.

Research product opportunities across Amazon US, Amazon UK, and relevant retail channels.
Analyze demand, keywords, competitors, reviews, pricing, positioning, and seasonality.
Build initial unit-economics and risk assessments using documented assumptions.
Translate customer complaints and competitor weaknesses into product requirements.
Work with sourcing, design, and marketplace operators as opportunities move forward.
Keep research evidence organized and make the next decision clear.

Experience in product research, ecommerce research, market analysis, or a closely related role.
Strong spreadsheet skills and confidence working with quantitative evidence.
Ability to separate useful demand signals from weak or misleading data.
Clear written communication and sound commercial judgment.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Experience with Amazon private-label products or marketplace operations.
Experience with research tools such as Data Dive, Helium 10, Keepa, or Seller Central.
Exposure to sourcing, manufacturing, packaging, or product-launch decisions.
